Workshop #3

The Faculty of Sports of the UCAM celebrates the third session of work with the ten future leaders selected to enhance their employment in the sports field. Antonio Sanchez Pato, dean of the Faculty of Sports has emphasized that "this project has three objectives: to improve the governance of the universities in the field of education from the sports faculties, to train our students as sports leaders with the mission that they can have the best preparation before his labor insertion and to increase the practice of physical activity in all the faculties of the UCAM ".

Since the first of these workshops framed in the European project ESLP, ten students of the Degree in CAFD are being trained, parallel to their university career, in workshops for career guidance, Outdoor recreation activities, dance activities and body expression, racket sports , water sports or fitness activities, among others. In this third event, the project researchers evaluate the quality of learning in these months of work. In addition, during the day, leaders will have a meeting with employers with whom they will learn to write a CV or social skills to successfully complete a job interview.

Lourdes Meroño, professor of the Faculty of Sports has emphasized the transversality of this project, emphasizing that "sport leaders are learning to plan sporting events, organizing each point of the development of the process as: elaboration of the proposal, coordination with the different agents involved, description of activities, selection of material, etc. ".

The ESLP project, co-funded by the EU through the Erasmus + Sport call, is a project co-funded by the European Commission, in which the UCAM leads a team formed by the University Panepistimio Thessalias (Greece), Universita degli Studi di Roma Foro Italico (Italy), Pamukkale Üniversitesi (Turkey) and Universita ta Malta (Malta).
